About Me

I’m currently a computer science professor at Vanderbilt University, with a passion for Deep Learning and its many applications.

I believe in writing as an aid to thinking, and writing as you speak. I believe in slowing down, and that a thing worth doing, is worth doing badly.

I believe in the pervasiveness of research debt, and in the invaluable role of research distillers.

Please check out a working draft of an interactive Machine Learning with Python+Numpy textbook I am working on at my posts page.
